Hailed by Classica magazine as a “pianist with a magnetic presence”, Ingmar Lazar is praised internationally for his deeply moving performances, as well as for his brilliant control and precise technique. He has firmly established himself as one of the leading French musicians of his generation.
It performs in the most prestigious venues in the world, such as the Grand Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the International Center for the Performing Arts in Moscow , the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam , the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Mozarteum International Foundation in Salzburg , the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Seine Musicale in Paris, The Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest and the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv among many others. He is a regular guest at numerous festivals such as the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the International Piano Festival La Roque d'Anthéron , the Festival of European Weeks in Passau, the International Festival of Colmar , the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier Festival, the Chopin Festival of Paris, the Les Piano Folies Festival of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Estate Regina Music Festival in Montecatini Terme and the Gothard Klassik-Festival.

Ingmar Lazar is also a dedicated chamber musician and shares stage with Nicolas Dautricourt, Benjamin Herzl, Stanislas Kim, Roman Patočka, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Fedor Rudin, François Salque, Christoph Seybold, Ekaterina Valiulina, the Hermès Quartet and Vision String Quartet .
Born in France in 1993, Ingmar Lazar made his debut at the age of 6 at the Salle Gaveau in Paris. Winner of several international competitions, he received the Piano Award from the Tabor Foundation at the Verbier Festival in 2013. He was also named a laureate of the Safran Foundation for Music, France in 2016. In 2020 he was awarded the Ateliers Médicis, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture. Ingmar Lazar has recently been named Steinway Artist .
A former student of Valery Sigalevitch and Alexis Golovin, Ingmar Lazar continued his studies with Vladimir Krainev and Bernd Goetzke at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. He then attended the International Piano Academy on Lake Como and the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland (Lugano) as a scholar of Theo Lieven, where he studied with Dmitri Bashkirov, Malcolm Bilson, Fou Ts'ong and Stanislav Ioudenitch.. He completed his master's and postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg University in the class of Pavel Gililov. He is currently studying with Elisso Virsaladze at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. He is a recipient of a scholarship to   the Liechtenstein International Academy of Music and was a member of the Philippe Jaroussky Academy of Music.
