ANDREA TROVATO, piano
Pianist and organist Andrea Trovato leads a brilliant professional activity in both the concert and teaching fields.
His artistic career as a soloist and in chamber ensembles ranges from early to contemporary music. He also collaborates with important institutions such as the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Teatro Lirico “G. Verdi ”in Trieste. In 2014 he was named Steinway Artist , by the prestigious piano factory Steinway & Sons.
He graduated in piano in 1994 at the Conservatory “L. Cherubini ”of Florence with all the honors, and then specialized in the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, under the tutelage of Sergio Perticaroli. He graduated in organ composition and performance in 2000.
From an early age he was the winner of numerous first prizes in prestigious national and international competitions, including the TIM (International Music Tournament) in Rome , the National Competition "City of 'Albenga ", the International Competition" G. Benassi ” from Pavia, the “ Debussy Prize ”of the International Stress Competitions.
His important concert activity both on piano and organ has led him to perform in Italy and abroad (New York, Paris, Vienna, Athens, Rhodes, Brussels, Antwerp, Chicago, Salzburg, Cologne, Warsaw, Lausanne…) for important institutions, such as Bocconi University, the Concert Society and Humanitarian Society of Milan, Columbia University, Roosevelt University , the University of South Florida and the University of Notre Dame (USA) , Heidelberger Klavierwoche (Germany), Temps Fort Musique and Accueil Musical (France), Polyphonia Atheneaum (Greece), OpusArtis and Pau Casals Association (Spain) among many others.
He is currently a principal piano teacher in the program “F. Venezze ”by Rovigo. He has recorded for Dynamic, Tactus, Concerts Classics, KNS Classical and Da Vinci Classics.
