CARLES & SOFIA PIANO DUO
Steinway Artists Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja are the Catalan duo with the most international projection. Considered by the public and critics as two musicians with an undeniable ability to move the viewer, the duo also shows spectacular synchronization and exceptional mutual understanding.
Their international career, since 1987, has led them to perform at Carnegie Hall (New York), the Teatre Solís (Montevideo) or the Palau de la Música Catalana, among others, both in four-hand recitals and with prominent orchestras.
Distinguished artists of the KNS Classical label, their extensive discography includes the most outstanding works by Schubert, Brahms or Rachmaninov, the complete works of the Australian composer John Carmichael, as well as unique and exclusive projects such as the opera “Goyescas” by Granados or the “Brahms Lieder”.
Always committed to social issues, in 2001 they received from HRH the Infanta Margarita de Borbón, an honorary distinction from UNICEF for their humanitarian work.
In 2012 they founded their own solidarity project: Concerts4Good, Music on a Mission.
In 2017, coinciding with their 30th year in the profession, they were awarded the Gold Star for Professional Excellence and the Gold Medal for Merit at Work. In 2018 they also received the European Gold Cross.
In 2020 they founded the Carles & Sofia Music Foundation to help young performers.

ORQUESTRA SOLISTES DE CATALUNYA
The Orchestra “Solistes de Catalunya” is a newly created orchestra, founded and led by the internationally renowned Catalan piano duo, “Carles & Sofia piano duo”.
Founded in 2019, it is made up of virtuoso musicians and designed to take advantage of their individual qualities, while offering high-level interpretations of orchestral demand.
True to their professional approach, pursuing excellence, professionalism and a high level of interpretation, Carles & Sofia created the orchestra with the aim of giving voice to young virtuoso instrumentalists and with the desire that it will eventually become a benchmark in our country.
The official debut of the orchestra took place at the Sant Pere de Rodes Music Festival.

NATANAEL ESPINOZA, conductor
Marco Natanael Espinoza Rincón (Ensenada, Baja California) is the founding artistic director of the Desierto Philharmonic Orchestra, Coahuila de Zaragoza (OFDC), an institution that he has directed since its creation in 2015 and which, under his leadership, has consolidated itself as one of the most relevant symphonic projects in northern Mexico.

Graduated from the Superior School of Music of the Autonomous University of Coahuila with a specialization in cello, he completed his training as an orchestra conductor through studies and advanced courses in Mexico, the United States, Cuba and Romania.

He has been guest conductor of numerous national and international formations, among which the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Mexico, the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Zacatecas, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Toluca, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the State of Querétaro, the Sinaloa de las Artes Symphony Orchestra, the BOCA Joven Orchestra of Cámara d'El Salvador, the Grand Rapids Symphony in Michigan and the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, in Italy.

At the head of the OFDC, he conducted the group's historic debut at the Palacio de Bellas Artes on January 28, 2017, a concert broadcast nationwide on Cultura A-Pantalla, Canal 22 and TV Educativa. He has also led the orchestra's participation in events of great national relevance such as the Cervantino International Festival and the Santa Lucía International Festival.

His career includes directing the Mexican tours of Andrea Bocelli (2019 and 2023) and Plácido Domingo (2019 and 2022), as well as collaborations with prominent figures from the international opera scene such as Elīna Garanča, Nadine Sierra, Kristine Opolais, Javier Camarena, Fernando de la Mora and Andrea Bocelli.

As a director and cultural manager, he has promoted the production of operas, zarzuelas, symphonic concerts and multidisciplinary projects, contributing decisively to the formation of new audiences and the strengthening of the musical life of Coahuila.

In 2022, he received the Manuel Acuña Prize for Cultural Merit, the highest distinction awarded by the Saltillo City Council to those people who have contributed exceptionally to the cultural development of the city.

His work has made him one of the most representative figures in musical promotion and orchestral direction in northern Mexico.
