IVAN PETROVIĆ-POLJAK, piano
Ivan Petrović-Poljak was born in Zagreb in 2004. He began his musical education at the age of eight at the Rudolf Matz Elementary Music School under the tutelage of teacher Vesna Fretze. From the very beginning he demonstrated excellent interpretative sensitivity and outstanding technical skills, which led him to participate in competitions from the age of ten. To date, he has participated in more than forty competitions, obtaining first prize in most of them.

Since 2018, he has been studying at the Vatroslav Lisinski School of Music with Professor Olga Cinkoburova, with whom he has collaborated since 2015. Since 2022, he has been a student at the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of Professor Ruben Dalibaltayan.

Among his most recent competition results are the First Prize and the Audience Award at the Enschede International Competition, in the Netherlands (2024), the Third Prize at the Pancho Vladigerov International Piano Competition (2025), the First Prize at the Isidor Bajić Competition in Novi Sad (2021), the First Prize at the Radovljica Competition (2021), the First Prize at national competitions consecutively between 2015 and 2023, as well as the victory in the national selection for Eurovision Young Musicians (2020), among many other distinctions.

In addition to his activity in competitions, Ivan has performed in numerous concerts, both as a soloist and with orchestral accompaniment, collaborating with ensembles such as the Zagreb Philharmonic, the HRT Orchestra, the Radio France Orchestra, the Budapest Dohnányi Orchestra, the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, the Phion Orchestra and the Sofia Soloists.

He has also received numerous awards for his acting achievements, including eight "Oskar znanja" awards awarded by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education and the "Professor Baltazar" award from the city of Zagreb.

For the fourth consecutive year, he is a scholarship holder at the International Music Academy of Liechtenstein, where he receives classes from professors Ruben Dalibaltayan, Milana Chernyavska and Pavel Gililov. He has also participated in master classes given by internationally renowned professors such as Natalia Trull, Naum Grubert and Alexander Strukov, among others.

ALJOŠA JURINIĆ, piano
Acclaimed as "a surprisingly subtle and visionary pianist" with "a rare combination of charm and mastery", Croatian pianist Aljoša Jurinić has established himself as one of the laureates of some of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. After his victory at the 2012 International Robert Schumann Competition, held in Zwickau, the composer's hometown, he won distinctions at the 2016 Queen Elisabeth International Competition and the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition, in addition to being a finalist at the 2015 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

Aljoša has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in prestigious venues in some forty countries on five continents, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wiener Musikverein, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Gasteig in Munich, the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, the Osaka Symphony Hall, the Sala Verdi in Milan, the BOZAR in Brussels, and the Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, among many others. Recent highlights include a thirty-five-day solo recital tour of China and five consecutive sold-out performances of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in Croatia.

His discography includes six recordings, including three solo albums: Chopin Alive (CristoforiumArt, 2016), Correspondances (KNS Classical, 2020) and Chopin: Sonatas No. 2 and No. 3 (Longplay Classical, 2025).

An in-demand chamber musician, Aljoša has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Kian Soltani and Luka Šulić (cello), Petrit Çeku (guitar) and Krešimir Stražanac (bass-baritone), among others.

In 2019, he received the Order of the Morning Star from the President of Croatia in recognition of his outstanding cultural achievements and the international projection of his country.

Aljoša holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Toronto and a Konzertexamen from the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar. His artistic development has been marked by studying with prominent pianists and pedagogues from Croatia, Austria, Italy, Germany and Canada.

He currently resides in Boston (United States), where he is a guest artist at the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science at MIT and collaborates in research projects dedicated to the study of the biomechanics of piano performance.
