- 17. Creus de la Carena
17. Creus de la Carena
Discovery: In 1987 E. Carreras and M. Piñero give them this name due to their proximity to Puig de la Carena. It is located on the border of the municipal district with Vilajuïga.
Location and environment: They are located on a bench at the beginning of the gully of la Carena. They are located on a dominant zone. Bush is the current vegetation. The most recent cultivation in the zone was vineyard.
Appearance: They are several schist stones, some bonded to the output and others separated from it. The insculpture is shallow, made by percussion with a stone tool. There are numerous motifs: lone cup marks, cup marks with grooves, and a lot of cruciform shapes.
Building era: An approximate chronology contemporary to the closest dolmens.
