Sailing courses

Sailing can spark very different interests among children and adults of all ages. The possibility of doing physical activity that respects the environment, the interest generated by the natural forces that move a boat, or the desire to discover an unknown world may be some of the reasons that lead us to a sailing school.

Sailing is one of the best recreational and sporting activities for enjoying nature without polluting. When we move by the force of the wind in this ever-changing environment, we open ourselves to a world of new possibilities and sensations.

Sailing is also one of the best sports activities with a clear educational focus, where teamwork, knowledge of the environment, decision-making, a sense of responsibility and safety are developed.

The sailing school of the Club Nàutic Port de la Selva is recognized by the Catalan Sailing School (Escola Catalana de Vela), the Catalan Sailing Federation (Federació Catalana de Vela) and the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation.

The aim of our school is for students to learn the techniques that will allow them to sail with maximum safety and proper technique.

To achieve this, the Club Nàutic has its own teaching program reinforced by the standards of the Escola Catalana de Vela. This program is complemented by practical sailing experience together with theoretical explanations on land and audiovisual material, with the aim of building confidence in navigation.

Alternative programs are also provided for days when sailing conditions may pose a risk to students.

All programs are designed and supervised by the teaching staff, graduates in Physical Education, and carried out by our instructors.

All these professionals are certified by the Public Administrations and by the Catalan Sailing Federation. They hold the corresponding technical licenses and pay special attention to the safety of students both on land and at sea.

Courses are aimed at children from 7 to 13 years old (children), from 14 to 18 years old (youth), and adults over 18 with no age limit.
