Beliefs

All the information about the beliefs of this age derives from the interpretation of archaeological remains.

The Neolithic is marked by a sophistication of the cult to the deceased with several types of burial. The most common burial in this area is the passage tomb dolmen.

There are no complete human remains from the dolmens in our area, although observing the excavation in other sites; it is known that the corpse was positioned in a foetal stance accompanied by grave goods consisting of ornaments, work tools, weapons, pottery, etc. That leads to think they believed in the afterlife.

There are a lot of interpretations of the meaning of the carvings and menhirs, they were probably related to a religious belief possibly connected to nature elements.
